Doyle Brunson was there during the WSOP’s new headquarters’ opening.


The 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is almost approaching, and this year, the greatest poker tournament in the world will have a significant new element. Bally’s Casino, the series’ original setting, has been renovated in the intervening years. The facility officially opened last week under its new name, the Horseshoe Las Vegas.

Celebrities and guests of honor were present during the ceremony’s celebration. Businessman Jack Binion was present during the launch of the new WSOP location. Jack is the son of Benny Binion, the previous proprietor of Binion’s Horseshoe Casino. Vice President of the World Series of Poker Jack Effel represented the company during the event.

One of the names, though, was the one that had everyone in the poker world talking. The great Doyle Brunson, at age 89, made it a point to celebrate the inauguration of the Horseshoe Las Vegas. The legendary footballer arrived to the ceremony in a wheelchair due to his elderly age, but it didn’t dampen his spirits.

Doyle Brunson is now a legend in the World Series of Poker. He is one of the best players of all time, as shown by his 10 series championships. The “Texas Dolly” has won 16 tournament championships, second only to Phil Hellmuth. Now that the doors to the new venue are open, the WSOP can finally begin. From May 30th till July 18th, you may see the series.
